Priska Ciptaningsih
Priska Ciptaningsih graduated with both her BVM and DVM degrees from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, Indonesia. During Priska's study period, she participated in internships at several small animal clinics in Indonesia, and Animal Teaching Hospital at Chulalongkorn University Thailand. As her final project for her undergraduate degree, Priska conducted research regarding the antioxidant effect of Ocimum sanctum leaf against hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity of lead acetate-induced in mice. After she finished my studies, she possessed a diverse background including two years in small animal clinical practice and surgery, complemented by half a year in an animal pharmaceutical company (Kalbe Animal Health). As a veterinarian, Priska found infectious disease and epidemiology become her interest in further studies and fields. The realization of veterinary epidemiology allows Priska to combine her clinical skills with infectious disease research to improve the wellness of animal life, not only for animal outbreaks, but how health is maintained in animal populations. During her spare time, Priska loves traveling and going on road trips.
