Orkideh Zare

Orkideh Zare is a veterinarian from Iran and earned her DVM there in 2022. After graduating, she completed a one-year internship focused on advanced reproductive biotechnology in animals. When she moved to the U.S. with her family, 2 years ago, Orkideh started working with companion animals in Los Angeles, which gave her a lot of practical experience and helped her see animal health from a new perspective. What really shaped her direction was when she first came across the idea of One Health because it felt like everything she cared about finally came together. The connection between animals, humans, and the environment is exactly what Orkideh always wanted to explore. That’s why she's here in the MPVM program, especially interested in epidemiology and disease modeling, where she hopes to make a real impact in preventing and managing diseases.
