Nuri Flores
Nuri Flores was born and raised in Mexico City, where she obtained her DVM from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). During veterinary school, she worked and volunteered in clinical and behavioral veterinary practices at zoos, an exotic animal companion hospital, and on fieldwork research trips. After graduation, she completed a research internship at the Biology Institute of the UNAM and a certification in Veterinary Public Health. Nuri’s research interests are zoonotic and infectious diseases, especially those that can spillover between domestic animals and wildlife. During her free time, she will be enjoying nature, biking, relaxing, and spending time with family and friends. Nuri completed the MPVM program in 2024.
