Dr. Joan Dean Rowe Receives the George McConnell Award

The American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners (AASRP) held its annual meeting on August 15, 2024, where it was announced that MPVM alum, Dr. Joan Dean Rowe, received the George McConnell Award.  The award recognizes an AASRP member who has given exemplary service to AASRP and small ruminant practice.

Dr. Rowe graduated from the Masters in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (MPVM) Program in 1983. She is a professor emeritus of population health and reproduction at the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
