Vinay Mase
Vinay Mase graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. He has ten years of experience working with a wide variety of ectothermic animals including reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and fish. He worked in various undergraduate laboratories including the Fangue Fish Conservation and Physiology Laboratory, the Schreier Genomic Variation Laboratory, the One Health Institute, and the Karban Laboratory studying Entomology and Nematology. He has also assisted a large animal veterinarian, worked as an animal care intern at the Oakland Zoo, and assisted in sea turtle conservation fieldwork in Costa Rica. His research focus is wildlife epidemiology and human/wildlife conflicts. For fun, he likes to go hiking and catch reptiles.
