Gabriella Johnson is from Antioch, California. She graduated from UC Davis in March 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, specializing in companion and captive animals, and a minor in Public Health Sciences. She has worked with a variety of species in both clinical and research settings, including dogs, cats, exotic pets, beef cattle, dairy cattle, and wildlife. Her experiences range from companion animal practice and rehabilitation to livestock research on methane-reducing feed additives. She has also gained international wildlife experience at a rehabilitation center in Australia and assisted with dentistry on big cats and primates in Indiana. Her research interests lie at the intersection of wildlife health, public health, and zoonotic diseases, with a particular interest in how veterinary professionals can contribute to both conservation and community well-being. In her free time, she enjoys cheerleading, dancing, crocheting, and being actively involved in her campus community.
