Fahimeh Tooryan
Fahimeh Tooryan is a Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine student at UC Davis. She is Iranian. She studied Veterinary Medicine at University of Tehran then she got her PhD in Food Hygiene from University of Tehran. She joined as assistant professor at University and worked for 10 years in the Food Hygiene Department in Veterinary Medicine school prior to coming to UC Davis. Her research interests are on food borne infectious pathogens and how to prevent and control them. For her MPVM project, Fahimeh is going to work with Dr.J-Russell research on contamination of romaine lettuce by E. coli in southern California.and influence of various soil amendments. Fahimeh enjoys reading historical books and baking bread in her free time!
