Barsha Thapa Magar
Namaste from Nepal! Barsha Thapa Magar earned her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H) from Agriculture and Forestry University in Nepal in 2019. Following her graduation, Barsha was appointed as a veterinary officer in the epidemiology section of the Department of Livestock Services under the Government of Nepal. In this role, she had the opportunity to participate in disease notification, outbreak investigations, and emergency disease control for various animal and zoonotic diseases. This experience has ignited her passion for epidemiology and public health. Barsha is particularly interested in researching the patterns of zoonotic diseases and developing epidemiological models to mitigate their impact on both animals and humans. Beyond her academic pursuits, Barsha enjoys trekking in the high mountains, dancing, stargazing, and singing.
